Introduction
- The SOAPP® was scientifically developed with support from Endo Pharmaceuticals and National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
- The Screener and Opioid Assessment for Patients in Pain (SOAPP) is a tool to aid in treatment decisions for chronic pain patients currently on or being considered for long-term opioid therapy
- A panel of specialists in pain and addiction medicine used Concept Mapping to identify those concepts most likely to predict which patients will require more or less monitoring while on long-term opioid therapy
- Validated in a clinical trial with chronic pain patients
